Hi also, when a person says things like that it means there are self interests when the 2 of you are together.

Of course I don't know how long You've been seeing Him BUT,

I think it's wise not to think about "relationship" right away.  It takes time to 'know' if that's where You should go with someone.  Many relationships fail because people take this "leap" too soon.  We tend to want a 'relationship" too soon - instead of letting a friendship i n v o l v e  into a relationship.

He likes You, so go with that.  See where it leads the two of You

Agree with NG.

If you don't mind casual dating then see him, BUT don't continue to see him in hopes he will want something serious with you.

I don't think he is telling you this to be "nice," but to be honest.

That's usually pretty straightforward, it means that while the guy may like you, he isn't interested in getting into a serious relationship.  That usually equates to just dating, and with some guys, casual sex, so be cautious.

If you're looking for something more serious, I wouldn't bother wasting too much time and energy on him.

Good luck.
