Is it pneumonia or black magic

my brother has been sick for two years ,he had used some traditional medicine that we never knew ingredients and so he had a bad allergic reaction that gave him blisters on his hands and he could feel his body heating ,his lips were purple out of it ,he was trying to cure a stomach pain he thought was stomach ulcers.
I took him to see doc and was taken through a stomach ultrasound and also endoscopy nothing was found ulcers was not there so he was given medicine and was told its body fatigue . his hands were swelling and I thought of arthritis and pain on shoulders
he started feeling pain on the joints and feeling like there was friction on the joints and a sharp pain on his right rib that makes him completely not breath yawn sneeze or even laugh because of the pain he gets there ,he says he cannot Even touch himself cos of the  pain on the rib ,I took him to the doc and he was tested
diagnosed of lober pneumonia which he was given medicine and an injection on his hands ,he got better only a week now he feels the same pain,apparently he has been sweating so much while asleep and its freaking me out he is gonna die ,what is this illness ? please help cos now he says he'd rather die

Sounds like liver disease. Is he a heavy drinker?

It is absolutely impossible to even suggest what is wrong with your brother on an internet site without an in-person exam, lab tests, complete history, ausculation of his lungs, and detailed history of medications. He needs to be seen at a facility with competent physicians. He would be admitted to any hospital in the United States upon such a presentation in the ER. I sympathize with you, but what he needs is competent in-person attention.
