Minimal PTB, Left Upper Lobe

My father had his chest x-ray for company purposes and the result of his x-ray stated that there is a Minimal Fibronodular Opacities are seen in the left upper lobe. Other findings tells that his heart is not enlarged and diaphragm, sulcus and bony thorax are intact. The impression is "Minimal PTB, Left Upper Lobe" What is the meaning of this? The doctor tells us that my father has a TB but we are in doubt because he has no cough which is we thought the very first symptoms of TB. We also noticed that he is lossing his weight. Please help me. Thanks.
