How dangerous is ti to breath in R-134 from a air conditionar leak in a car?  Is the refrigerant only in the air a short while and then it dissipates?  My lungs feel very cold to breath inward and it hurts to breath too deeply.  We have a leak in my car ac and had to run out all the freon and put a sealer in there.  Then they refilled  the freon.  Some of it is going to leak from before.  Is this just short term?  I have breathing problems occasionally.  I've had a sore throat and difficult breathing all week.  Probably from the car air.  How long does the r-134 linger in the circulating air.  Thank you

I came on here, because I'm experiencing the same issue. I just had my freon refilled 4 days ago and already started developing some of your symptoms. So far, it's only a sore throat, but thanks to your description, I at least know not to take it lightly.

Do not mess with leaking freon. It is a poison. Can cause Extreme anxiety, depression, heart problems, good pasture syndrome, cause other autoimmune problems, vision problems, hearing problems, chemical meningitis, etc... Your life will never be the same if you get too much of it, and you may be too "high" to understand what's going on to make a correct disision. Don't listen when people say "it can't hold that much freon" or "it disapates" I know it does mess you up.
