Pneumonia

I was diagnosed with pneumonia in early Jan. Several courses of antibiotics later and X rays, the pneumonia has gone but left some marks on the lung; scarring according to the doctors. Despite being able to cycle and run ok, I am still not feeling right and still have catargh on my lungs which is fighting to stay put. The worst is just not feeling that my head is connected, almost like I continually have had a glass of wine! Anyone else felt like this after pneumonia? I am an asthmatic although controlled perfectly by ventolin etc.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

If you're worried the scar tissue, have lung function tests done, this will help assess if it has affected the lungs. This will also help assess if Asthma is under control. Light headedness could also be due cardiac disorders. Symptoms are usually aggravated with exercise in cardiac disorders. Again inadequate sleep, hypoglycemia, anemia and vitamin deficiencies can aggravate your symptoms of light headedness. Please discuss these options with your consulting doctor.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
