Sarcoidosis

Does anyone have sarcoidosis? I was diagnosed with it 2 years ago in my lungs.. I have been put on prednisone for it. They are tapering me off the prednisone now. Hopefully my next appt will be good and I can go to a lower dose still.  My question is can the sarcoid cause other problems in my lungs or my airway since its partially blocking the airway?

The course of sarcoidosis is quite variable. I was diagnosed after a routine chest X-ray found it in me in 1975. Six months later, it was gone. I've never had any problem with it, and if not for the chance finding, I would have never known I had it.

Hi I also have sarcoid. I was diagnosed alittle over a year ago. I also have it in my lungs but it is not that bad there. I also have it in my spleen, liver, lymphnodes in my neck and also in my spine. I have now gotten Arthiritis and kidney stones. To answer your question I know that from the granulomas that form in the lungs that in some cases it can cause scarring in the organ. Which in turn can cause the organ not to be at its full potential. That is really all I know. Not sure if it helps.
