chest pain when i smoke weed

Just about everytime i smoke pot i get really bad chest pain. This has been happening for about 6 months. I have been smoking pot for about 6-7 years. My boobs are freakin huge and they seem to make the chest pain so much worse. The only way to relieve my chest pain is by lifting my breasts up. I went to my doctor when my chest pain first started happening... she took X rays and told me i had asthma.... gave me some pills that didnt help... One night I smoked some pot and my chest hurt, all of the sudden i had a SHARP pain in my right side that went down my right arm and made it tingle all over. My body felt terribly weak and shakey. I went to the Emergency room and as soon as i told the doctor i had smoked pot he treated me like ****. I asked him why i was having this pain and he said because i smoked pot... i said ya im SO sure thats why. then he replied... well it must have been some real good stuff.... like i said i've been smoking pot for many years... I also smoke cigarettes... which i have been doing for about 6-7 years also... the doctor from the emergency room wrote down two diff. "symptoms" which i couldnt let you know what they are because i lost the paper (i know i know) but what do you think????

Hello I am having the same problem you are having...I've been smoking for 14 years almost everyday of my life! Now I have been getting a heavy feeling in center of my chest and pressure type pain. The pain doesnt begin until about 10-15 mins after I smoke marijuana. I'm beginning to think my marijuana is being laced and my heart/body is fighting off the chemicals???!!! Don't know exactly...   Thanks!!!    Brent

I'm 18, male, I Live in England. I am also having these weird and uncomfortable pains in my chest. I've been smoking weed for about 6 years. Sometimes the pains are burning, sometimes aches. I sometimes get palpitations and difficulty breathing from anxiety but my Dr. stopped the meds. I get chest tightness and a feeling that I need to crack my spine at the top of my back. I get aches in my neck and throat which makes it difficult to breathing. This get worse when I panic. I think it feels like a pain inside my rib cage, mainly in center. I had a panic attack and went to a+e about 3 months ago but x rays that were clear. My anxiety is not that bad some days but the pains are getting worse. I've been told these are all symptoms of anxiety but they are getting really hard to deal with so I want to stop smoking weed and see if it improves.

TO all you guys having problems while smoking weed. Try to hydrate BEFORE you smoke. Drink lots of water and eat a good meal. Smoke your weed in smaller amounts over a longer period. Otherwise your body is kind of reacting in shock to getting high. I use to get horrible pains in my left shoulder every single time i smokes. Eventually i realized I wasn't very healthy in other areas of my life. pot was just bringing out those flaws. Now I go to the gym 5 days a week and eat all organic (no more fast food) and I haven't had a single problem smoking weed. There is no quick fix, just get your body healthier.

This is exactly what my doctor said, this was after 5 years diagnosing the problem. 15 separate doctors, 6 of which I saw more then 3 times each for general check-ups and related.

I was told its definitely got something to do with GastroIntestinal Reflux Disease but I was then told because of all the test I had done involving my chest area, my core structure is under severe stress from my neck.
This issue with my core is what is amplifying the pain into panic attacks as the chest issue gets severe and causes heart/LUNG discomfort, I then had to deal with vibrations from the sides of my chest and the back of my head. I could not smoke continue smoking pot, it had been 4 years since I was able to continue.

So all in all, Pot is healthy, but your body must be too. I have not quit smoking cigarettes but I work out regularly now, I love to swim and I make sure running at least for 5 minutes a day is done. As for GastroIntestinal Reflux Disease, well you will need to speak with a dietitian for that. DJG82 covered most of what you need to know but see a dietitian and mention the cannabis to them.

This year I tested to see how I am doing, my Chest pains are not that bad any more but the neck pain is still there but only when I get very high which after so long not smoking is the second I get a huge grin. I guess for every year of use you will need around 6 months recovery depending on your activities/lifestyle when smoking.

This has started happening to me. i've been smoking for a year 9 months now, and out of the blue i started to get this chest pain. The first time, it was so bad i thought i was having a heart attack. it happens about 5 minutes after i smoke, give or take, and last for hours. It's hard to sleep through. I dont have any answers but i've been reading like crazy. so far i think it has to do with acid reflux and heartburn.

for anyone feeling this pain, it will pass in a few hours, it can seem unbearable, like you're going to die, but you wont. even if you panic and it feels worse, know that there isnt a single recorded death from panic attacks, so try and relax.

what i would suggest is to take some antiacids (tums) and some ibuprofen (you can take slightly more than the recommended doses especially if you dont take pain killers often, you would need to take about 20-25 200mg pills in one sitting to reach toxic levels, and thats if you weigh 100lbs, if you weight 200 lbs you would need 40+)

i enjoy smoking recreationally but i fear i will have to stop for a while. i read cases where people took multiple antiacids and smoked with out pain, but when the antiacids faded the pain came back. i also read that antiacid doesnt solve the problem but just mask the pain. you might want to consider the degree of pain you were in without the antiacids before resulting to them. canada didnt help us, but if we keep the thread alive we can all reseach and share doctor stories to see if we can figure it out.

I had the same problem. Its an easy fix 2 steps. Step one, smoke a little less. Don't smoke the whole bowl, take two three hits.chill. if you still get pains, pour about a dime sized pile of pepper in you hand. drink it down with water, and Wait 15 min. Also works with paranoia.
