How long before I can drink alcohol?

Hi,

I have been treated for Gonorrhea with 1g azithroymcin and 400 mg of cefixime. I would like to know how soon I can drink alcohol. My Dr said 7 days, but after doing some research, it seems a lot of time for what I am reading. There is a company party soon, and there is a big chance of a lot of alcohol. I would like to know if I should avoid the event and not drink alcohol during these 7 days, or if would be safe to drink alcohol after 5-6 days?

Thanks in advance!

If your doctor told you that, it would be good to follow that advise, as he is going to have the most accurate information. Never believe what you read on internet, as you don't know who wrote that and maybe that person doesn't have any formation in medicine.
