I forgot to add that the unprotected oral sex was a few months back. The last encounter I had was about 2 weeks ago and was protected vaginal sex.
you should be seen and have some basic testing done to try to figure out what is going on.

What would I be at risk for? By that I mean - what should I get tested for?
Oral sex is a much lower risk for many STDs than vaginal sex.
It could be that you just have a normal coincidental urinary tract infection at this time, but you are putting two and two together. You are at a small risk of getting herpes infection orally and some other infections.
It is worthwhile having a standard STD screen and urinary analysis at your family doctor to look for UTI.
Sometimes these things are put down to non-specific uritritiis.
What is the risk of contracting any STD if a condom was properly used? Also - what STDs are still transmitted if a condom is properly used? As for the symptom I described earlier - Does it mean anything if the burning sensation is gone today? I have been drinking a lot of water (half gallon within 3 hours).
I have made an appointment for Monday to get tested for general STDs. Are most tests done through urine? The only reason I ask is that I have a fear of blood tests.
Thank you.
syphilis, herpes and hpv are the 3 main std risks from condom use.
you can contract those along with chlamydia, gonorrhea and ngu from unprotected oral sex.
stop back and let us know how your appointment went :)
yes, most of the testing will be urine testing.
if you have a fear of having blood drawn, ask them to prescribe a numbing cream for you to use so that it won't be painful.

Since yesterday I have had no burning sensation during urination. My penis is free of any blemishes. Should I still keep my appointment and get tested on Monday? How long is the burning sensation present if it is related to an STD?
I'd certainly keep the appointment and start your testing.
Last post before I move on. I just received an email confirmation for my appointment and it is for October 1st with my primary physician. Should I go to the urgent care tomorrow and get tested regardless? Would I be jeopardizing my health in any manner by waiting a week?
no risk to wait another week.
