Overreaction?

I received unprotected oral sex from a stripper about 1 year ago.  I immediately regretted it and was really fearful that I had possibly contracted something.  I had some irritation for a few days, but never any discharge, and no other symptoms since.  My wife and I were not having sex regularly at the time.

Based on posts on here, it seems that the risk of contracting an STD in this manner is very small, and the risk of having contracted something but being asymptomatic is also very small.  Also, about two months after that, I had strep throat and my doctor gave me a Z-pak regimen of antibiotics, which I understand from other posts would be expected to clear up something like gonorrhea or chlamydia.

My wife and I have started having sex frequently again, and she just came down with what she believes to be a serious yeast infection.  She used to get them all the time, but hasn't in a long time. I am worried that it is not a yeast infection but that I may have unknowingly had an STD all this time and just passed it on to her.  Am I crazy or is this a possibility?

That's what I figured... no symptoms, plus I did have a full course of antibiotics (for an unrelated problem) after that encounter.  I just thought of it today, though, and the idea of it really freaked me out.

No std's don't cause yeast infections. although medicaitons can. if you did contract an STD from that encounter you would have had symptoms by now ie discharge or more pain. you were only at risk for Gonorrhea, trick, ngu and a low low risk for hsv and syphilis
