Red spots / rash on penis end

Hi

5 weeks ago I had unprotected oral sex from a female csw in the uk.  I've been to gum clinic and had tests done which came back negative. I've still got to have a 6 week syphilis and HIV test done again.

I've had body aches and a chesty cold for the last week or so.

Suddenly today I have a red spotty rash on the tip of my penis and I also noticed some cloudy discharge from my penis. My groin now aches too.

Can anyone please help me work out what this might be please?

Thanks

Mike.

it's not likely it's herpes. I was actually thinking fungal myself as I was reading your post.

Hi grace

the doctor at the gum clinic gave me the acyclovir after I had told her about the pains in my groin and thighs, and tender pubic area. she did say it was precautionery.

I think what I'm trying to understand is whether herpes lesions come before groin pain or not.  If they come after goin pain, then how quickly do they follow?  I've had the groin pains for at least 2 weeks now maybe longer than that.

I hope you can offer some good advice.

Thanks again

Hi Grace,

Thanks for your very speedy reply.

They did swab tests and have sent these away for analysis.  I was also given some Daktacort cream as the doctor also thought that it may be Thrush related.

The pains in my groin are not always at the same level of pain.  Sometimes I don't notice it and other times I really feel it.

I'm hoping that it is Thrush and not herpes.

Thanks again,

Mike.

did they do any testing on your rash or just give you the acyclovir?

Hi Grace,

I'm hoping for some help again.

As per my earlier posts, 9 weeks ago I had unprotected oral sex from a csw.  It's not something I've done before and will never do it again.  I've been and had tests for most STIs done and they have come back negative.

My real concern is herpes now.  For the past 2 weeks I have had pain in my groin and inner thighs.  Like a burning pain.  It's not always there and sometimes is much worse than others.  2 weeks later I have now developed a rash on the top of my penis again - a bit like before.  This is eased if I use Aqueous cream to moisturise it.

I've been given some Aciclovir tablets by my GUM clinic as a precaution.  They were concerned about the groin pains. Swab tests were done again but it's going to be a little while before the results come back for these.

I've not seen any of the 'commonly expected' lesions of herpes appearing on my penis.  I guess my main questions are would the pains in my groin appear before lesions or should they appear after lesions have appeared?  And, is herpes likely to appear 9 weeks after a possible infection?

I'd really appreciate your help and advice as I am really worried and scared now.

Thanks,

Mike.
