Skin Tag on Scrotum and Seborrheic Keratosis on inner thigh

Hi

A dermatologist diagnosed me for a Skin Tag on Scrotum and a Seborrheic Keratosis on inner thigh. He said there are not due to HPV. My concern is the other name of Seborrheic Keratosis is Seborrheic wart. Then how come it is not caused by HPV. Confused.

A seborrheic wart is caused by Seborrheic Keratosis, not HPV. If it helps, consider it a Seborrheic growth, and not a wart.

We don't really know what causes SK, but it isn't HPV. It's something entirely different. It's not related to sexual activity, either.
Thanks for your response. How SK warts are different from HPV warts if both look the same? How can the dermatologist confirm it just using a magnifying glass.
SK growths are different from HPV-warts. They have different causes, positions, way of growth and appearance.
And they don't always look the same  (do you say so based on google search results?). Dermatogists are trained to tell the difference and they have knowledge and experience backing up their decisions.
If you feel you were misdiagnosed, you should find another dermatologist and ask for a second opinion.
But there is absolutely no way you can self-diagnose or we can diagnose you better than a medical professional.
I have read multiple articles on the internet stating findings of HPV-6 in genital keratosis which scares me a lot.
It is not advisable for people without medical education to read articles written for medical professionals. Those articles would normally scare you which they did.
Inner thigh is not genital area and has nothing to do with genital keratosis. If you choose to ignore our answers, you may find another dermatologist.
It is no good building up your fear while reading things you have little knowledge of (I am not judging you, I am sharing my own experience).
Okay, so listen.

If your doctor thought it was HPV, she'd have said so. If we thought it was, we'd have said so.

You had oral sex for barely seconds 10 years. This is not genital HPV.

Please, seek counseling.

makes sense. When I move my fingers over this growth on my scrotum, it moves/bends left and right with the finger strokes. Does a wart behave like this?
Warts are not diagnosed with finger strokes. You do not have HPV warts.
You were given answers and advice. You need to seek counseling.
There is no point in further discussion.
