you are an otherwise healthy person. A yeast infection in the mouth isn't going to go systemic and kill you.
I think at this point the best advice I can give you is to turn off the computer, keep yourself busy and follow up with providers as needed. I think you are causing yourself unneeded stress by obsessively reading things online.
I read that if the yeast gets into your blood system it would cause serious
Damage to your organs and death could be the outcome. I have been dealing with problem over a month trying to get some resolve.
Is it possible for yeast to enter into my blood system in a monts time?
Everyday these lesions heal a new ones appear. Could this be just a case of yeast infection.
It has almost been a month since I started having these recurring sores in my mouth. I have been tested several times and treated for stds. All my test were negative for stds and my treatments were precautionary treatments. I am still having sores coming and going and appearing in different places on my tongue. I went to see
another doc and he thinks I have Geographic tongue and says it is a harmless condition. I returned to my primary care doc and he disagreed and he thinks I have a yeast infection and has set me up for ENT doc to do a biopsy of these lesions and he also did a swab to be tested. He also started me on Nystatin swish and swallow for the next week
I think I have GT after researching the Internet and finding symptoms and pictures that look exactly like what I have. I am waiting on my appt with ENT and taking this med for yeast infection.
I'm stressed out and hoping that this thing resolves soon. I'm going celabac.
What is your opinion? Is it to late for yeast infection test, could it have entered my blood system by now. I've read 45% of people have succumb to yeast infections. At this point I be happy if it was GT.
Stressed out!
why is it cursed to have geographic tongue? it's quite common and isn't contagious.
Turns out to be geographic tongue, the recurring lesions are pink with yellowish to white borders and recur in different places on the the tongue. This is a harmless condition, but is very alarming to look at. Also there is no cure for this condition. I think I have been cursed.
odds are these aren't std related in your mouth. sound more like a mucocele than anything.
the only std testing that is accurate 1 week post encounter is gonorrhea and chlamydia. all your other testing was far too early. since you already had a shot of penicillin, no need for syphilis testing as a follow up.
grace
you need to follow up with your doctor... also if you were tested for HIV a week after the encounter you need to retest at 3 months for a conclusive result.
What was te encounter??
I'm guessing you were treated for syphilis? again you need to return to your doctor.
