bad odor

after having a few ours later i noticed a fishy smell.. even after washing, the smell would not go away. i went in for a check up and the doc gave me some antibiotics for BV.. its cleared up since then. but the obor came back. i returned to the doc they took samples and everything shows to be fine. i asked my sex partner if he had put anything on his penis, and he told me hair grease!  now that he has stoped the odor still is present on me and him... i really dont know what to do! i have been the doc for this so much there telling me its in my head! i dont understand if everything shows to be fine why wont the smell go away? is it possible to be a different type of Bacterial infection that he may have? will it effect me having HPV?  im so lost that i have completly stoped being intimate.

Hi I had this for years and as you said you go to doctors and they say its fine , what I did was go to the family planning , they sent me to the GUM Clinic as they have better ways of testing you , I was told I was washing to much and had washed all the natural body odours ,so they give me a few pills and said don,t wash around inside of your private area as this self cleans it self , also do not put any thing into bath like bubble bath, I was out of my mind with this as you feel you going off your head , I could smell myself all the time, I would get out of bath with in ten minutes I could smell it again , now after the visit to the Gum clinic and some advice which no one had told me before I am fine , so do what I told you and go to the Family Planning first and get referred to Gum Clinic after , good luck , Bag pack

BV can reoccur so since you said you often visit your doc for this and your tests shows negative, then i do not know what else it could be.  Maybe it just takes a while to get rid of the smell and maybe the hair grease is still hanging out in your vagina and has turned bad.  This will not develop  into HPV however so you dont have to worry about that.  It's possible you may have some other kind of vaginal infection but like you said you visted your doc often so if nothing else shows during your examination then I wouldn not wait it out.  If the smell gets worse or does not go away after a long time, then get a 2nd opinion else where. sorry to hear your stressed over this.
