What is going on? Help please

Hello,   This is kind of a long story but i appreciate any help.  At the beginning of the year my wife and i seperated for sometime. On Feb 4th I received oral sex from a woman in her late 30's/early 40's. A few weeks later my wife comes back, we have sex on Feb 16 we have sex.  On Feb 18/19 I start having symptoms of frequent urination, and a stinging after urination. Possibly some irritation on the tip of my urethra. No discharge I visted the doctor a week after these symptoms started  and told him about the Oral Sex, he told me that was low risk and said I probably had a UTI and prescribed me a weeks worth of cipro. My symptoms continued throughout the week while I was taking the meds.So I returned to the doctor on Mar 2 with symptoms still so I took an chlamydia gonorrhea test that came back negative.(I was told that even though I took cipro the tests would still show positive if i had anything, dunno if thats true)  My symptoms had pretty much stopped at this time, my doctor said that this was possibly from prostatitus.  No symptoms until a week later, and I have an itchy urethra and the urge to urinate frequently. I am freaking out that I have brought some kind of STD to my marriage. Does this sound like any sort of STD to anyone? I have never had any discharge which has been the only thing keeping me sane through this.

What your doctor told you is true. Cipro is not used to treat gonnorhea or chlamydia so the bacteria would still be present even if you took Cipro for the UTI. What you could be experiencing could be a UTI but I am thinking you have a yeast infection. Yes men can get yeast infections if their partners have one. It should be treated with oral Flagyl aka Metronidazole. Your wife could have possibly had a bacterial yeast infection when you had sexual intercourse with her. Also it is very unlikely you contracted an STD from oral sex. Gonorrhea lives deep in the throat. You get my drift. Unless she was really deep throating you it would be very unlikely you contracted anything of that nature. Also if you do have a yeast infection your wife will need to treat it as well or else she will give it to you again.

It doesn't sound like an std to me because you did not mention anything about swollen lymph nodes in your growing area.
Swollen lymph nodes are not always related to std but it is something to look for when a std is suspect.

I also forgot to mention, I know my wife did not do anything with anyone while she was away.
