bump on tongue

I have just noticed few small red bumps on the back of my tongue and concerned about STD.  I recently got a pcr dna test for HIV and that came back negative but the test was about 3 weeks after exposure.  I dont think i have HIV but if the test results were false negative is it positive develop oral thrush about 2 months after the exposure and does the bump sound like thrush?  everything looks ok on the inside of the mouth.  or can this be someother STD?.  hep or syphilis?  thanks in advance.

I also saw a couple of red bumps on top of tongue (deep) today. And there's a little white dot on front tongue (left). I am already going through a HIV scare (had unprotected vaginal sex 4 weeks back)! (Have rashes, muscle pain, sore throat and now this). Now, I am damn scared :o

No.  If you had protected sex, you have very little chance of having an std or HIV.

Oh first thread you said bumps - now you say bump.  If its more than one, its not syphilis.

You should see your doctor since its bothering you.  You should also look up geographic tongue, though it doesn't sound a lot like it, but you can at least rule it out.

2 months after the exposure MIGHT be syphilis, but its a bit late for the sore to appear.

If you have given oral sex, you should get it checked.

I looked it up in google and definetly not canker or apthous sores.  its back of the tongue and small red bump.  first time ever noticing it.

I wonder why everyone always thinks std first?

Your sores are probably apthous sores, or canker sores.  Google that and see if it fits.  It doesn't sound like thrush, and you wouldn't get thrush this fast from HIV.
