possible std symptoms

Hello,

I had protected vaginal sex and performed oral sex on a lady I don't know, exactly 15 days ago. About 3 days later I felt a dry feeling in my throat and decided to go to the doctors. He diagnosed me with tonsillitis and I've been taking medication since. Then 12 days after possible exposure I was very ill with diarrhea and vomiting. I felt slightly weak for the days that followed. My symptoms have been really worrying me over the past week or so. I'm currently in a foreign country, where the health care facilities are somewhat basic. Also when I have had tonsillitis in the past my throat has hurt as well but this was just a dry feeling at the back (no swelling evident either). Has anybody any idea what might be causing these symptoms? Thanks.

thankyou

Make this a priority.  Coughing up blood is not good.

No STD would cause you to cough blood, and you need to follow up with your doctor about that first thing tomorrow.

thanks thats really helpful. My tonsillitus subsided a few days after taking the antibiotics.  Unfortunately I started getting a really painful throat again and feeling sick. I coughed up some blood this morning as well. I'm back to stage one now worried about what it is i've got, even hiv has been crossing my mind. i know on this sight you all adamantly say its not possible through oral sex but other sources on the net say it possible. i dunno what to think.

Chances are it's a cold or something viral of that nature. And STD that could show a symptom like that is gonorrhea, but most of the time it does not show symptoms and it is very hard to get from a woman.
