1. Post in the HIV forum
2.
3. Some can show up from day 2-365
4. What was your risk?
thank you vance, i posted earlier in hiv forums and you reassured no risk about it. i am worried about STD's rather than HIV
My exposure: cunnilingus, kissing and fingering couple strippers at a club, all of them were on the same day, cunnilingus was very brief probably 10-30 seconds each.
symptoms: foreskin cuts(using soframycin looks like healing). sleepless nights and night sweats.
Sleepless nights and night sweats sound like anxiety.
Gono and chlamydia tests were good after only a few days.
HIV is supposed to be quite accurate after only 4-6 weeks.
Did you do herpes? By now your tests would be quite reliable.
I don't know much about the heps.
I think syphillis can come in a little later but bet it would also be quite reliable now.
I would also believe Vance that you had no-little risk.
I would not recommend worrying about HIV tests for a year.
thank you,
i havent tested for herpes, syphils not sure.
why would you say to get tested for hiv after a year?
I meant test sooner than a year. Don't wait that long.,
I think your current test is fine already. You could get one more if you want at like 12 weeks
But I agree with Vance HIV test is unnecessary except to ease your mind.
so taking another HIV Test now will conclude my results? can i do a oraquick test? i dont want to get blood drawn again.
I agree with Vance that you never needed to test.
That said, you're now at four months. If you test for everything now and come back negative you're in very good standing.
I am not an expert on the oral test or really anything else. So I will ask someone else to answer that. But I'd guess it's fine. But if you have anxiety, and you do, I'd suggest doing a blood test just to set your mind at ease. You don't want to question things later.
can anyone answer to support NGUWORRIES question please?
thanks vance, one last question and I will end the thread with your answers.
does symptoms such as red very tiny pimple kind of stuff on head of penis indicstes of any STD.
i also had oraquick for my peace of mind and it came back negative. Do you think it is conclusive as the exposure is more than 15 weeks.
Tiny pimples are usually pimples, but you can test for herpes now and know for sure with Igg blood test.
But your exposure would not put something in your penis. Your penis never touched anything, right?
yes you are right, never my private parts were exposed, other than having sex with my wife.
Guilt and anxiety. I have it too.
Do the tests you haven't done, get negative results, move on.
You made a mistake but just learn from it and don't do it again. Your family needs you-get back to them
Any you have not done. I think you haven't done heroes right?
Then get negative result and move on.
Our families need us at home, not on medhelp wrapped up in our own guilt-induced anxiety.
It's almost a form of selfish indulgence freaking out like we are after low risk episodes with negative tests, no?
you ate right, thanks a lot for the moral support. when you say herpes is it supossed to be oral herpes as per the exposure?
Test for herpes 1 and 2, you are past window, they will be negative, put it behind you.
started worrying again, last night i had unprotected sex with my wife, and after the act i saw that there was some blood, upon keen observation there was a red bump under the corona of my penis which broke and started bleeding, my wife also said that while she was wiping off she found blood too. Is this any kind of std?
i am so worried that I am infecting my wife.
here are the test result which i took back in july 17, 4months and a week after exposure.

This assay utilizes recombinant type-specific antigens
to differentiate HSV-1 from HSV-2 infections. A
positive result cannot distinguish between recent and
past infection. If recent HSV infection is suspected
but the results are negative or equivocal, the assay
should be repeated in 4-6 weeks. The performance
characteristics of the assay have not been established
for pediatric populations, immunocompromised patients,
or neonatal screening.

A Nonreactive HIV Ag/Ab result does not exclude HIV infection since
the time frame for seroconversion is variable. If acute HIV infection
is suspected, a HIV-1 RNA Qualitative TMA test is recommended.
