A possible bacterial prostatitis from an STD infection?

I'm a 26 year old male and I had unprotected sex one time with a female on February 14th and no intercourse seen then; 2 weeks later I started to have urinary issues and went to my physician and he gave me 1 gram of Zithromax and 10 days worth of Vibramycin to clear up any possible infection of gonnocual and chlamydia bacteria before the urine and blood tests came back, which was negative by the way, also about a month and a half later I started having a problem of excessive frequent urination: so bad sometimes that I would go to the restroom to urinate and then 2 minutes later I would have to go again, a little bit of dribbling afterwards, it seems that I can't completely empty out my bladder and occasional testicular, urethral and rectum pain. The funny thing is I don't have pain with urination only after urination a dull achy feeling all throughout the urethra and groin area and all of these symptoms come and go, delayed ejaculation with little semen coming out with no pain probably from the inflammed prostate. I did a urine and blood test for everything again to see if the STD infection was still in my system and it all came back negative and had some anti-inflammatory medication prescribed to me and even got my prostate checked and the doctor said it was a little tender. I would love to have some insight and knowledge of what I might have because this sounds like a classic sign of prostatitis. This has been going on for the past 1 month and a half now.

Thanks

P.S. I forgot to mention and this is what scares me is I went to a urologist and they did a cystoscope on me and they didn't find anything inflammed in the whole area including the prostate.

Oh that can be scary, but I am glad you were prompt with getting medical attention.  :)

Went to the doctor's office again this morning because the levaquin was giving me irregular heart beat problems; one of the major side effects of that drug and he switched me to a month's worth of Bactrim with an alpha-blocker, hopefully I will feel better with these anti-botics and no side effects and pretty much tested me for every STD out there that can be tested on.

You should start seeing marked improvement in a few days.

Oh ok, thank you, just one last question, how long do you think it will take for the relieveing of symptoms from these antibotics, a week or so into the course or a couple of days because the reason I ask it because I'm in some pain and I hate taking   narcotic pain relievers even though I feel better?

Oh ok.  Well, regardless of the bacteria that's causing it, the meds should work.  You should google this or check wiki.  Wiki has a really good article on CPPS.

All he did was a thorough rectum exam and said my prostate was a little tender, mushy

Yes, that is sufficient.  Did he happen to do any testing, or was it a guess?

You can have other bacteria that causes CPPS, and you have tested negative for stds.  In any case, you have been treated properly.

I went to the ER this morning because I was in extreme pain in the whole groin and rectum area and the ER doctor talked with my regularr Doctor and came up with a diagnose of Chronic bacterial prostatis/CPPS caused by an STD. They put me on Levaquin for 14 days with an injection of Ricophen. My question is: is this enough course of treatment to completely get rid of the infection since I've had this condition for 3 months now?

I understand that you are scared, but remember that very few people actually have HIV, overall.  If you are in the US, its less than 1%.

Your chances are very very low of getting HIV.

I know they are not HIV Symptoms, I'm just curious if he got tested.  I'm scared to death about my one time uprotected encounter.

HIV wouldn't cause these symptoms.

Did you get tested for HIV?  I had a very similar experience.  I had unprotected sex on May 7th yesterday the Dr. diagnozed me with Prostatitis and he is testing for Chlami.

I'll be going for HIV test on July 19(6 weeks) and August 9th (12 week).

I'm on Zithromax and Levaquin.
