Yeah, I'm sure I can get something like that here. Or a Chinese equivalent.
like I said, probably more of a fungal infection and /or balanitis more than anything at this point. wouldn't hurt to pick up an antifungal cream/powder and use that twice a day for a week too if they can be bought otc there.
I'm really limited as to my knowledge of chinese medicine too so I'm of no help there to know if they gave you something for fungus or not.
Hey, thanks a lot for the help. The hospitals here don't have translators. Most doctors however are well educated and can speak broken English. But when I start bringing up medical words, such as herpes, they haven't got a clue. In fact sti's seem somewhat a taboo even in a hospital. It would probably be the last test they ever done.
I've also discussed sexual health checks with Chinese friends and they seem to think a general health check for work covers it. These health checks normally only cover HIV and hepatitis.
If I were to hire a translator, it'd be hard to find one with medical expertise. They're normally English majors with medium level English.
I guess I'm on my own here, but I'll see what I can do.
Lastly, I'd like to say I'm so grateful for such an informative website by professionals. Most of the stuff I have read seems to be so different to the advice given here. Thanks!
your symptoms don't sound like either of those.
Ok, that makes sense. I'm going through a stressful period right now with work and visa issues.
Although there are clear small white spots ( which look like fordyce spots based on google images. maybe not a reliable source) on my foreskin area once it's rolled back.
I just felt an intense burning sensation on my inner thigh, but I've heard they only appear for recurrent outbreaks of herpes. So unless I had no symptoms from my first outbreak which I would have got from the First Lady.
I had a sexual health check about two weeks after the first sexual encounter, which wouldn't have picked up herpes. I had no symptoms, just wanted to rule it out.
Could my symptoms be hpv rather than hsv?
usually herpes lesions are painful and/or itchy. they usually are decently sized and nothing you'd have to really look to see.
sounds a lot like you have a fungal infection going on and maybe balanitis too. There should be interpreters at the hospital and if not, probably worth the money to hire one so you can have a better idea of what is going on and what testing has been done. really not a lot we can help you with at this point to be honest.
We never advise anyone to "look" for symptoms because when you do you often find something that you think is not normal when in deed it is normal.
I mean what are the things to look out for related to herpes. Symptoms. I read that burning during and after urination was one of the symptoms.
Can herpes spots be very tiny, almost hard to notice kind nor small?
Could it be genital warts, although the pictures I've seen of genital warts look rather large, mine are hardly noticeable.
Since writing this, I went to a doctor ( in china), they've given me some Chinese medicine, and took a pee test. The pee test came back negative for everything, only problem is, I don't know what they even tested for.
My urethra still burns during and after urination, and I notice after peeing urine drubbles out, which never used to happen. My foreskin when rolled back looks pretty red and the head of my penis is also slightly red.
At times my penis has a slight pain/ache, but I can't locate where as its not painful to touch, at all.
I'd appreciate any help, as I feel pretty useless in China. It's tough to ask my employer out here for help with something like this. Also, I don't want to sound rude but the Chinese hospitals seem quite clueless with sti's/ std's.
What does herpes sound like?
these don't sound at all like herpes.
I'm currently in China, and need to translate all the possibilities before I go to the hospital to get checked?
Could it be herpes? I'm actually more worried about the first two encounters as the oral sex was from a married woman who claims to be infection free.
oral sex is not safe sex. at this point you need to be seen monday at a clinic. get basic urine testing done as well as tested for chlamydia, gonorrhea and ngu.
grace
I'd like to add, the oral sex was unprotected.
