STD test only via Urine enough?
I have unprotected blowjob incident. after that got penis burning and sore throat type symptoms. Gone to doctor and he has only taken Urine for STD tests.
Is Urine enough to test all STD's (excluding HEP & HIV) or blood is also necessary?
I am very worried and I want to test for all STD's ..please help...

Doc tested urine for Chlamydia and other Bacterial infections (unprotected oral exposure 2 weeks back) . All came negative. Doctor still suggested to complete the 10 days antibiotic course.
The burning in penis has gone in between. Doc. said after 4 weeks I should have a followup check again for STD's.

Yes, good luck. I have to wait longer for my conclusives, only at day 18 from exposure. I have had urinal taken though but not heard any conclusions yet. I have symptoms: rash on penis (I am using fungus cream for it Daktakort), I feel that I have swallen testicles or at least a bit of aching there), burning feeling on penis head, been feeling a bit sloppy like light flue symptoms for days. One part of this is the torture of waiting.

I have little burning feeling in penis still and sore throat in between is almost gone..as of now no other major symptoms.
I will get my results after 3 days and then will know for what the doc has tested...will keep updated.

I find it strange that you are treated without diagnosis. I am not sure if you did receive or give oral and if it was fully unprotecteda and if it was with a stranger of unknown status? However for oral: I would test for Gonorreha, Chlamydia, Syphilis, Herpes 1 and 2, parasites, warts, other bacterial infections, fungus. Personally I am having a full check including hiv even though not considered necessary after oral exposure.
