Hi mates. I'm Jonathan, 24 years old. First of all, I should say thank you to you who help me. I had two sexual experiences with two guys in June, last year. I was given oral sex and rimmed. We didn't have any anal sex. I don't know why but recently I started to worry about syphilis, so I asked them two about their syphilis status. They sent me their syphilis test done at 56 Dean Street, London. One was done in September, 2020 and another one in January, 2021. Their massage say " Your syphilis test result was negative (clear). You don't need any treatment." I learnt that if it was a TPPA test, it means that they never had syphilis before, including the time when they had sex with me. But if it was a RPR test, it can only mean that they don't have syphilis when they were done the test. But the message was too short for me to know what kind of test was given to them at this clinic. So, my question is, in the UK, when a STD clinic says someone is syphilis negative (clear), it means that they did both TPPA test and RPR or TRUST test? Thank you so much for your kind help.
