Analingus and Canker Sore

Hi, my partner just received his STD test results from an STD clinic. They tested him for HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia, and syphilis. I will be receiving my results on Monday. All of his tests were negative. I seem to be developing or have developed a canker sore. Im sure it is a canker sore, had my dentist check it out. I performed analingus on him while having a canker sore. He does not have any open wounds or sores near or on his rectum.Should I be concerned?

Also if my canker sore heals in a week, which they typically do, I'm out of the woods on this herpes thing?

Thanks for the tip Grace. Would you say given our monogamy and combined negative status we are at a low risk for herpes?

it's a good idea to seek it out. the rates of hsv2 in gay males is as high as 60% and since it increases your hiv risk, well worth regular testing.

They don't provide that kind of testing at the clinic near me.

an canker sore is an open lesion into the body so we don't recommend ever performing oral on a partner when you have one. what is normal bacteria in the genital/anal area, isn't normal when introduced into an open lesion in the mouth so always in your best interest not to do so.

unless your canker sore doesn't heal up/gets swollen, not too much to worry about at this point.

did you and your partner get herpes testing done too?
