Can i have Chlamydia even after I finished treatment?

Tested positive for Chlamydia and Bacterial Vaginosis. Doctor immediately put me on Metronidazole and single dose of Azithromycin. Before I started the treatments, there was white discharge and fishy odor but no urge to constantly pee even after I had just emptied my bladder. After treatments, the discharge and odor has gone away but I now have a constant urge to pee and when I go to pee it’s  very little and there is very slight burning. Is it possible that the azithromycin didn’t work or is this possibly a UTI? My doc has told me to come back after 3 months for a chlamydia retest but should I go now? I took azithromycin on March 16.
