Can someone please help thanks

I had oral sex 4 days ago with no condom. 4 days later notice milky white discharged I went to the doctors yesterday and was given a shot of ceftriaxone 250 mg and proscribe doxycycline 100 mg.

1. My questions if it's gonorrhea should the ceftriaxone shot work in one day?

2. Is ceftriaxone known not to work for this std? I've read some gonorrhea is incurable..

3. Does cerftriaxone work if it's an NGU?

4. It's day two after take antibiotics and I still have discharge is that normal?

Thanks

My test results came back and I tested positive for  gonorrhea. They gave me a shoot and it's cleared up now but I'm still experiencing a burning sensation on the  skin of my penis and a tingling sensation on the tip of my  penis. Could this be HSV 2 ?

1. Nothing thinking gonorrhea based on the color of discharge, but possible. Yes that shot should work and it starts to work right away but can take up to 2 weeks to fully clear.

2. Rare cases of resistant gonorrhea, nothing to be concerned about

3. Not sure

4. Yes that can be normal...body flushing out bacteria. If improvment is not seen by day 5ish then follow up with Dr.

Forgot to mention I was tested for gonorrhea and herpes via swab. I'm waiting on lab results.
