Can you reinfect yourself with an STD by masturbating ?

Hi ! Embarrassing and weird question and wasn't sure whether to post it in the posts I've already posted but ,
I masturbated with an object (lol) and didn't know I had Chlamydia . Once I found out I didn't masturbate at all , and took antibiotics and it is now cured , and I no longer have Chlamydia . However , I was wondering , if I used the same object I used when I had Chlamydia a month later when I was cured could I reinfect myself ?

I washed it with hand soap , as I didn't have anti bacterial soap . But lets say what if I didn't wash it , and just used it without washing it , would it be possible for me to reinfect myself with Chlamydia , if I used it over a month ago when I had the STD , didn't use it for over a month , and use it after I've been cured ?

I heard once it dries , it cant reactivate and can't reinfect , but if i put water on it , would it have reinfected the STD ?

Thank you !

Hi and welcome, thats a good question. No the bacteria dont survive in open air. Nothing to worry about but its good hygiene to wash things of that nature.
