Hi guys. So story goes, my partner and I tested positive for chlamydia nearly 2 weeks ago, and received Azithromycin (single dose 1g) and told to refrain from sexual activity for 1 week to prevent reinfection. We failed and had sex 3 days after. I know, pretty stupid and we know it - so lesson learned. So we purchased Azithromycin (single dose 1g) off Superdrugs online doctor and took a second dose exactly 1 week following our initial dose (we informed the sexual health clinic when they phoned to confirm our positive result and they agreed with taking the medicine again). I'm now 5 days into the second dose, without sex albeit I have masturbated to curb the appetite and I still have a mild, clear discharge at the tip of my penis. No other symptoms.
Is it still possible to be infected? Or is this a common symptom post-treatment. If so, when will it stop?

Thanks Vance2335. Can masturbation potentially aggrivate the healing process following treatment, hense prolonged symptoms or as you say, simply dead bacteria?
So should we refrain from sexual activity for 2 weeks post-treatment? I'm nervous the treatment hasn't worked. Thanks for your response.
