Concerned

My story goes - I slept with a hooker (paid escort, who traveled to the hotel) nearly 5 weeks ago during a weekend away with the lads. With having a partner back home and having sobered up I immediately regretted my decision. She (the escort) put a condom on me, I remember that, but for the life of me I don't know if it remained on, remained safe etc, I was very drunk. Oral and Intercourse.

Immediately having returned home from the weekend I went to the local GUM clinic, got tested for everything and received precautionary Chlamydia treatment. I refrained from sex for 1 week. All results came back negative. I then had a follow up urine sample tested - negative.

However, nearly 5 weeks in from the trip and 4 weeks since me and my partner engaged in intercourse, she has a dry rash up the back left side of her neck and has had this for a week. It isn't itchy, it isn't hot or bothering her, but it is completely random. It's like thick, scaly, dry looking skin. Around 2 weeks ago she had diarrhea for 1 day. Obviously being a paranoid wreck I'm clocking everything and worried it may be something I have given her.

I have no symptoms.

Going back to GUM after the 3 months for the follow up bloods.

Should I be worried?

Hi Vance. Both me and my partner still have skin conditions. She has rasied spot-like bumps on her face, and neck. Periodic itching. I have hives appearing body wide, rashes on my hands and what seems like athletes foot. My arms and hands (primarily the palms) seem quite red.
It all seems coincidental that these skin conditions and all the above I have already discussed appeared after my csw episode. What could this be, in your opinion?
Just out of paranoia last week I bought and used the BioSure antibody test (9 weeks post exposure) and that was negative. Could this be simply a fungal infection we both have? I'm so confused and annoyed.

Wow, speak of the devil my results just came in all NEGATIVE. I'm actually stunned as this has affected me for such a long time I had practically convinced myself something serious was going on. Symptom after symptom, and not just me but my partner as well. The mind is very suggestive however at the same time it has to be said that the coincidence of having such symptoms around this time is a little unfair! Thank you for your input guys.

Ended up sending away a finger prick test 2 days ago awaiting results. Couldn't wait the full 12 weeks. Plus the finger test is a duo so should be good at 8 weeks. The missus is itching her arms like hell. No rash, but she says they are sore and feel sunburnt. She hasn't had a fever or anything. My hands and arms are blotchy with some hives. Its now 8 weeks post exposure and 7 weeks since me and the missus had sex following my exposure.

Hey guys, received a call from GUM. They were able to detect a 'really bad' urine infection, nothing more. They are phoning my GP to prescribe me a longer course of medication. So that was 5 weeks post exposure, she has requested I attend again 12 weeks post exposure for blood work however she indicated any testing after 4 weeks with a negative result is fantastic and the 12 week test is just a matter of procedure.

Went to GUM today and provided a urine test, bloods and a swab. The swab confirmed no gonorrhea but some puss and a definate urine infection, which is confusing because I've taken meds, and provided another negative result 2 weeks ago. They had no option but to give me another round of Azithromycin and a set of antibiotics (3 day course) for a urine infection. Anxiously awaiting results. What a horrible 5 weeks I've had. Results should be available in 5 days. Feel horrible.

I hope so. I'm sorry because you probably have to put up with thousands of guys like me asking this and asking that without any idea and fearing the worst, but I appreciate the feedback. I'm going to GUM again tomorrow and I'll keep you posted.

Yes, a little, although it doesn't seem to be yellow, more clear. I had it quite heavily yesterday from 4pm til I slept. This morning til now, not as much.

Are you still having the discharge today?

Going back to this, last night I began having a discharge. Yellow and quite thick. Completely took me by surprise. Already took Azithromycin 5 weeks ago. No pain while urinating, but an urge to go. I'm fearing the worst now. Don't know what to do.

Yes it would be low

I guess. Chances of a serious infection relatively low? Had my partner not had a rash I wouldn't of been concerned at all. I don't know why but that seems to have triggered a wave of anxiety.

I would not be worried, sex was most likely protected all the way because THEY protect themselves from YOU
