Confused

I recently had relations with two women. One was 47 days ago and the other about 25 days ago. 8 days ago I started having itching in the urethra area and mild discharge which was whitish in color. I had a full screening this past Tues. and they tell me I need to be treated for Chlamydia. I contacted both women and they both went to be tested and both were negative. I saw the results on paper. I want to know if the lab could have messed this up and maybe it could be NGU or something. Also isn't this a little late for symptoms to be showing up?  Thanks for the help.

I can't explain it.  Someone had to have a false negative.

And yes, the zmax will cure it.

Why would you think that they got tested just this past week and both were negative? And yes I did see the results with my own eyes. I just don't understand this. They also gave me 1000mg of Zithromax today. Is that going to be effective and if so is that good for anything else that may be going on? The gonnohrea, syphillis, and hiv all came back negative.  Thanks again.

Oh and the other woman should talk to her doctor about treatment.  She could be if she wanted to, but since you got symptoms so long after being with her, its really a discretionary thing.

Symptoms can appear within 3-5 weeks.

If its positive for chlamydia, then its not NGU.

And someone has false test results, if you've actually seen the others' results.  The woman you were with a few weeks ago falls into the timeline of needing to be treated regardless.

Since you are having symptoms, I would think you do not have a false positive.

Thank you for the response. I have not seen them, I was only told that I needed to come in today to be treated for Chlamydia. They did tell me that they are unable to test for NGU, this is a state dept. of health testing site. I didn't know if there was a way for them to seperate the different bacterias or if they just saw one and said thats what I need to be treated for.  Thanks again.

Did you see your lab results?  Did they say chlamydia based on the results, or based on symptoms?
