Hello. I am a 27 year old male who is sexually active (with females) and currently in a monogamous relationship. Before this relationship I have had unprotected sex with one other partner from a past relationship within the last year. In the past couple months I have noticed a frequent urge to urinate that varies in severity and can be quite uncomfortable at times when anxiety is high and faint testicular pain that also varies. I have not noticed any discharge other than what I am quite sure is semen ( clear and sticky) and possibly a very small amount of clear fluid after urination. I do not have any alarming pain or burning during urination or ejaculation. I have tested negative for standard stds multiple times in the last year and on my most recent visit they did a dip test which was negative for white blood cells. Neither of the partners I've had have complained of symptoms or reported testing positive for anything. I do notice a bit of cloudiness to my urine but not consistently or frequently.
I realize I might be somewhat paranoid due to the evidence pointing towards no infection. And that my symptoms could be caused by soaps or soaking up bumps on a lawn mower (my day job) or even dehydration. They could even be a product of my anxiety surrounding the matter. But I can't shake the notion that trich is not tested for in a standard screening and that it commonly can present no symptoms.
So my questions are:
Big question: How likely would it be that I have a trich infection and it did not produce enough white blood cells to show up in the dip test?
How likely is that both my partners are carriers with no symptoms?
How much of a role can anxiety play in these mild symptoms?
Is it worth getting checked out for causes other than infection such as prostatitis?
