Could my trichomonas results be wrong?

I am pregnant and I keep going to the doctor and they keep diagnosing me with trichomonas they give me pill for it 4 Tablets of metronidazole and I have taken them 3 times within two and a half months but everytime go back to get retested because my vagina is still not feeling regular they keep telling me the same thing at this point I'm feeling like maybe I don't have trichomonas maybe I have something else wrong but it keeps showing up as trichomonas also I have a hard time with swallowing big pills so I crush them up the pharmacist told me that this was okay so the first two times that I took the metronidazole I crushed them up and put them in water I got a cup I put a little water in the cup like a spoon full then I crust one pill up into it and swallowed it after I stirred it I did this for all four of the pills and the third time I crushed all for the pills up into applesauce and I ate the apple sauce after I stirred the pills up that's my most recent one I will let you all know after 2 weeks if I feel better and I get retested what it says
