Help! I'm not sure what this is!

Hi I'm a 19 year old female and I had sex with an unfamiliar individual about a month ago. He was stupid enough to insert his penis for about 5 seconds with no condom. I have been on antibiotics for about 3 weeks now for a sinus infection. I started getting really itchy down there and it was sort of painful and red and swollen so i went to the Doc yesterday. He said i had a yeast infection. Well last night i went to the bathroom and when i wiped i got an excruciating pain. Upon examination i had what looked sort of like a popped blister because there was skin sort of hanging on one side of it.It is on my inner labia and it is painful when i urinate. It is only one "blister" and i'm worried i might have an STD or something. Maybe herpes. Any information you could give me would be helpful. Thank you.

At this point it's best if you return to clinic to be seen and get this looked at. Scratching and yeast infections can cause rashes genitally but it's also best to have it evaluated for herpes too.   Even if you only ever have protected sex, condoms only reduce the transmission of herpes by 30-40%. also most folks never have protected oral sex and you can transmit hsv1 from the oral area to the genital area thru oral sex too.

If you are really itchy with the yeast, try things like soaking in the tubby with epsom salts or a packet of aveeno bath thrown in for comfort. Dermoplast spray ( the blue can, not the red can for the genital area ) is a topical anesthetic you can find at most drug stores. You can spray that several times a day for itching and pain relief too. If you find you are itching mostly at night, take some benadryl before bedtime.

Yeah i'll admit i have been scratching down there. The itching was driving me crazy. I'm just so worried it could be an std. But i would think the doc should have noticed something yesterday while doing a pelvic exam.

Did you scratch that area?  Sometimes yeast infections can cause ulcerous lesions if it gets really bad.  And if you scratch or rub, it is easily irritated.
