Dilemma

I had sex with two guys one at the beginning of the month & the other almost 4wks later but 2days before my doctor appt. I had unprotected sex with both. I decovered I had Trich. Would it be possible that the test results will come back so soon with me having the Std after having sex 2 days before my appt. I'm just trying to figure out what guy gave it to me?!

There are no data on how quickly trich infections can be diagnosed after exposure. Two days seems short, and I would guess it is more likely you were infected before that. But 2 days may be possible and you're never going to be able to know for certain. In any case, both your partners need treatment for trichomonas. Even if you didn't catch it 2 days earlier, that partner was exposed to your infection, and could have caught it.

I hope you'll get into the condom habit. If you're going to continue to have sex with more than one partner, you really should be using condoms 100% of the time for vaginal or anal sex. You're at risk for STDs a lot more serious than trichomonas! (I hope you were also tested for gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, and HIV.)

A word to the wise. Best wishes and happy new year.

3-4 days should work, but it would be best to be retested in a few weeks to make sure it's gone.

Thank you. Yes I got tested for everything. This is a mistake I won't happen again. Also I had a 7day 500 mg of Metronidazole but it makes me sick this is my 4th day. Should I tell my doctor or am I cured?
