Doctor- Urethritis/Azithromycin?

A few days ago I had unprotected oral sex and the morning after I felt a slight tingling in the tip of my penis.  This tingling turned into slight throbbing and it also began burning when I pee.  I do not have any discharge.  Three days later I visited an STD clinic and I was told I may have urethritis so I was given a one-time dose of Azithromycin.  I was also tested for chlamydia/gonorrhea but I will not know the results until next week.  It has now been three days since I have taken the Azithromycin however my symptoms (tingling/throbbing sensation in penis, burning when peeing) has yet to go away.  In fact, I think it may have gotten worse (but still no discharge).  My questions are:

1.  Does this seem like urethritis to you?
2.  Was Azithromycin an appropriate cure?  If so, when can I expect results?
3.  Does the fact that my symptoms have not gone away (or taking into consideration any of the information mentioned above) infer that chlamydia/gonorrhea may be the cause of my symptoms?

Thanks in advance.

Possibly, but it is rather soon for symptoms to show up.  Have you had any other encounters prior to this?  Its possible the timing is just coincidence.

also- after reading other posts I have found out that chlamydia and gonorrhea do not cause symptoms the morning after (which is what happened to me).  if it's not these two infections, what could have caused this?  some sort of bacteria from the mouth?

1 - It could be, but your test results will help answer that question.

2 - Yes, and it can take a week to fully clear your symptoms, give or take.

3 - If the symptoms don't go away, I'd suspect gonorrhea over chlamydia, since azith cures chlamydia as well.
