Existing antibiotic course can delay STD detection?

Hi doctor

I had an encounter of unprotected oral sex with a random girl in a small City of a third world country.

Please note that I was already on a azithromycin treatment for a different non-STD infection.

Very poor medical support exists here. I consulted a doctor who suggested that I should delay my STD test as my azithromycin(500mg twice daily) followed by ofloxacin course( 200 mg daily) will impact my test results.
I'm not sure if I can trust him.

Your existing antibiotic treatment would probably cure most bacterial stds if present including most NGU bacteria and Gon. To me it makes sense to test after treatment unless you have symptoms or develop any

Your current antibiotic prescription will probably eliminate most of the bacterial stds you could possibly get. unless you show symptoms I'd agree with your doctor
