Genital Herpes without Sores?

About three weeks ago I had extreme itching/burning as well as two small bumps near my vaginal opening.  The doctor ran some tests, and it turned out I had a yeast infection and she said the bumps looked  harmless and were probably keloids caused by friction.  I tested negative for both Chlamydia and Gonorrhea.  She gave me Diflucan and the itching has since cleared up.  But during and after intercourse, the inside of my vagina burns really badly and there isn't any problems with lubrication.  I've  been looking up symptoms, and I saw that Herpes can cause burning, but I have no visible sores.  Is it just likely that I still have a yeast infection or a bacterial infection?  Does it sound like any other STD besides Chlamydia/Gonorrhea?

Worred... Thanks!

No, a keloid is a large bump. Herpes are lesions/ulcers that break open and weep. If you had an outbreak inside you, esp. if on your cervix, you'd have a lot of watery discharge :)

Thanks for your feedback-- I haven't been able to go to the doctor yet-- my appt. is two weeks away.  I'm still experiencing severe burning, but the itching has gone away.  I also noticed more of what looks like "keloids" as the doctor said earlier.  I'm pretty sure I didn't have these until really recently.  I don't know why more would pop up all of the sudden... but the original one I had, the doctor said it looked healthy and wasn't genital warts... she didn't mention anything about herpes.  A keloid would look nothing like herpes, right?

Thanks!

It doesn't really sound like herpes to me, but why not go ahead and get an IgG blood test for it, such as HerpesSelect?  Then you'll know for sure.

And yes, genital herpes without sores is definitely possible, in fact it's pretty common.  I just don't think that's what you have.
