Is it Possible or is he lying

I just found out Saturday I have Trichomonas.  I have only had one partner in 7 years.  We is swearing up and down he has never been with anyone else in the 7 years.  The last time we had sex was 2/22 but I didn't have any symptons until after my period on 3/14.  He claims it could be something my body created or the Paps test gave an incorrect reading but he doesn't have anything and didn't infect me.  Is this possible or is he just lying?  I have no health issue other than fibriod and high cholestoral.  Could I only get this from him?

Trichomonas is difficult to detect in men. They often get negative results while having it.

He tested negative.  I saw the results. How is that possible?  While i am going to believe the doctors and he cheated but I really don't understand.  I had regular paps every 6 months, laproscopic surgery to remove fibrod 6 years ago and nothing showed up abnormal. Yet I have an STD and my only partner has nothing.

The point that he is trying to get you to not understand is that if you had it all this time (more than the 7 years you have been together) It would have been detected well before now.  I have had trich and it is extremely unpleasant. Not only is the discharge very annoying but sex was pretty painful too.  So, untreated for 7 years with no symptoms at all?  Not very likely.

If the elderly women didn't have sex for decades, they would not have noticed the pain associated with intercourse.  Also, they would have just thought any discharge was normal for them with the hormone changes associated with age and menopause.

"...But it can be present in the vagina for years, and has even been discovered in elderly women who have not had sex for decades. So you may have in fact contracted the infection from a previous partner and not known it."

He went to the doctor and we are awaiting his results but he is institing he didn't cheat.  He has researched the web and came up with the article above.  Is this really possible?  I have been to 2 doctors and they like you say it is sexual and he gave it to me.  Yes, I had my sympton in the 5-28 days of enconter.  It has been 9 to 10 years since I had another partner and we used condoms. I just am so confused.

Sorry i missed your last question, You can get retested if you have not taken the meds yet... it would still be a swab.

no if he has it and has not taken any meds then it will not go away on its own and if by chance that it did it would not happen in a months time.

Thank you so much for your comment.  Will he test positive for it?  I read on a site that it can go away in men without medication.  Since its over a month since we had sex will it be gone in him?  Also, he keeps telling me the test was a false result even though the medication cured my burning and redness etx.  Other than a paps is there any other test that can be run now to see if I have or had trich?

Trich is an STD for a reason, it is a sexually transmitted disease. Unfortunetly if you two have been together for 7 years and have been with only one another this would have shown up much sooner

The normal incubation period is 4-28 days. The onset of symptoms such as vaginal or vulval pruritus and discharge is often sudden and occurs during or after menstruation, perhaps as a result of changes in vaginal acidity or homone levels.

Your partner should be tested and treated
