HPV Concern over-worrying or warranted?

Okay so my friend has warts on my hands...he says he got them from his girlfriend but she doesn't have any on her hands, so I think the only plausible place he could have gotten them from is her vagina. Anyways, I am a huge germaphobe and I am terrified to touch anything he touches; he doesn't seem to think big of them and just goes around touching whatever, whenever, wherever...it makes being near him very hard...it's gotten to the point where I've considered buying gloves and wearing them when I'm around him. Also, I suffer from OCD so I can't just wash my hands normally, sometimes after touching something he touches I'll wash my hands for an easy 10-15 minutes...are my concerns too dramatic or are they rational and warranted?

Quick final question...If I was with someone that had visible genital hpv...and we had sex (unprotected)...and it's been a year later and I haven't developed any symptoms or any warts, is it fair to say I didn't catch the virus?

no, and even the chance he touch you, it is not a major concern as all warts are of the HPV virus. everyone will get warts at some point in there life. but the gential warts do not translate to the hands.

So unless he actually touches my skin, there is no need to wash my hands at all?

But is HPV not spread by inanimate surfaces?

Both and the glove idea also.

Is it irrational because of how long I wash my hands or because I do it after he touches anything?

I think you know the answer already. Irrational behavior. Are you seeing a theripst? If not I would suggest that you do.
