I'm holping you can help me with my questions about my results.
I'm very low risk and always use protection, but I did a standard STD screening blood test a month ago. Initially, all came back clear but then I received a message last week that there were borderline herpes results and I need to go back in 6 weeks for another blood test. I don't know what type of test they did on me, but she said that my results were 1.23 positive. At the time I didn't know enough to ask if this was for hsv 1 or hsv 2, or what type of test it was. I can't seem to get anyone to call me back to clarify and I'm wondering if this was maybe a non-specific herpes test—or whether (because they want me to come back) that makes it most likely for hsv 2. I just don't know what standard screening results mean, and can't seem to get answers. I don't want to have to wait 6 weeks in fear if this could be results for hsv 1...Is there even a standard test or would I have to know specifically which it was to know what the results mean?
