Herpes or Mollusca?

In the past few weeks, I have noticed a few small shiny bumps, that feel hard, and usually one appears in another place after the other is gone. I have read up on mollusca, and have a feeling thats what it is, but I am worried because any time I try to get rid of these (by using tweezers to pull off the "head"--), I am left with a small bleeding area that looks similar to herpes after the bleeding stops. These bumps have never been filled with watery substance, and after I pick them, they go away in a few days. They sometimes appear in the same places, sometimes not. I am SO worried that this is herpes, and until I can get in to see my gyno, I am looking for some answers here. Please help!

I agree - and please stop picking at them and using tweezers - just let them alone so the doctor can see them as is.  He/she can do a much better job at diagnosing it that way.

This really genuinely truly does not sound like herpes. At all! If you had herpes it is most likely that they would itch and they wouldn't really bleed but would seep.

I think your best bet is to go and see a gyno or a dermatologist. It could be a great number of things- most of which raise no real alarm bells and are not sexually transmitted. people get skin irritations for so many reasons, especially in their private parts because the area is simply full of glans and nodes!

I'd go and see your doctor, but more than anything- I'd relax! stop checking yourself! and stop worrying about herpes!
