manual stimulation and herpes

Hi...I've finally come to terms.  And now I want to be honest.  I have been dating this girl since 11/30/2010.  I love her but she does not satisfy my sexual appetite.  Sooo....with that said, on occasion I go out and get hand-jobs.  Not with street walkers.  But with ppl advertising massages on the internet.  I've only done it three times.  And the last two times happened on the same day...whitch was November 20th 2013.  I can't remember the other date with the first one.  But, my girl-friend and I have had sex since the first hand-job from the stranger.  But, we didn't engage in any sex after the last two.  I have never kissed or have had sex with anyone since I have been with this girl-friend of 2010.(just three hand-jobs from the strangers)  Everything else I have told you has been the truth.  And on the last hand job.  I was tested for herpes2...5 days after the incident.  I was positive.  My girl friend was tested as well...she was  negative.  Okay...with that being said, I'm a lil confused.  The doctors on this site and my doctors and other ppl have said, that you can not catch Herpes from a hand-job. (ya'll have said, they are called std's for a reason).  Okay...Why is it that I have herpes and my girl-friend doesn't?  I was under the impression this virus could be spread even with out symptoms or shedding if you will.  Do you not start shedding until you have your first break? "OR" as soon as you get the virus you start shedding?...I'm lost. In my opinion...I think I contracted this virus from a simple F**king hand-job.  That is the only place it could have came from since my girl is negative for herpes.  What does anyone think about this question?  And please be sincere and honest.  Because the hand-job thing.  I think you can catch it that way.  Because like I said, I'm positive and my girl is negative.  I will read and and respond to everyones opinion.

I would suggest confirmation from a swab of a suspected herpes sore rather than blood tests.  The next day seems very early following exposure and it also cleared up very quickly.  You post your questions directly to the Herpes forum but Id certainly seek confirmation from a swab based on the unusual timings.

Blood test...I had a some type of out break the next day after the third hand job.  It was almost gone by day 5.  and like I said, my first test blood test was taken on day 5.  What gives?  Hand-job?   Is that even possible Alan?  Then on day 13...had some other breakout...got retested....positive again.  Then this month...broke out in a different spot of my groin.  This time it looked totally different from the other marks.  Not on meds yet.  I'm trying to wait 6 months before I go on meds.  because I wanna get a nother test before I start that crap.  you have anything?

How was the test performed?  Blood test or PCR from a swab of the lesion?

Blood tests can give false positives especially if they are low positivies.
Have you had any outbreak?  without symptoms and confirmed pcr from the swab there is a possibility this is a false positive especially given the assumed low risk.

What made you test for herpes?  blood tests are not recommended in the absence of symptoms or extended risk such as multipke exposures to an infected person.
