How long does it take to cure it?

I found out I had Chlamydia on July 23rd. My doctor gave me two pills and I took them on that day. I think it was Zithromax. She told me there was no need to get a follow up test to see if I have it anymore because the medicine is really effective. and she also told me not to have sex for at least two weeks and that it should be gone in 2 weeks, Is that true? Because I recently had sex with someone Tuesday August 5h and I was quite paranoid. lol

Aren't you scared about what he could have to give to you?

You at least could take a few pills to get rid of chlamydia . Next time you might not be so lucky. You need to be talking about std's with every partner!

Oral sex won't transmit chlamydia.

Have you and this new guy talked about stds?  This needs to be a conversation you have with every partner.

Listen to what your Dr says because he/she is the best opinion you can get. Did you have protected sex? The medicine should have worked by the 5th. But if you did not use a condom then you should tell that person that they might want to get tested in a couple days to be safe.
It's better to tell someone so they can get treated then to have them spread it to other people.
