How much Azithromycin should I take to cure chlamydia?

I recently had a full panel test for STDs, I didn't have reason to believe I had one but believe it is important to get tested often. My test came back positive abnormal for Chlamydia. I was able to get a prescription for Azithromycin and according to the CDC, 1g orally is the recommended dose. As such, I took 4 pills of the Z-Pak tonight (four 250mg tablets). I am planning to take the remaining two tablets over the course of the next two days. Will this cure chlamydia and did I do this right? I feel silly asking this since I received the prescription from a doctor but it was at a clinic and it seemed like they were just trying to get me in and get me out. I was so worried about the positive test that I didn't think to ask. I have notified my sexual partners. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
