How quickly primary syphilis chancre

Hello 2 weeks ago I performed unprotected oral sex on a bisexual M. The following day i took 1g azythromycin due to a separate issue. 7 days after that my potential exposure, gums were sore and I started to develop a canker sore. I usually get canker sores every once in awhile. The sore is still present feels uncomfortable and less painful to contact than it was initially, but appears to be healing. I've spoken to the individual since and they claim to get tested every three months. How concerned should I be given the antibiotics and timing of the sore?
