Protected sex but infection and very worrying symptoms

Hi...I had protected vaginal sex with a csw in Thailand...condom stayed on and no breaks so when finished I removed condom and showered..no problems it seemed...so 2-3 days later started feeling exhausted and lympths in throat, armpits and groin were all raised and aching a little, I also felt a mild burning in my uretha so quickly went to the local hospital and got swabbed and did urine test..the test came back positive for an infection although I wasn't informed exactly what it was...any way was giving injection of antibiotics and a 7 day course of doxycycline...went back after 2 weeks as I could still feel a little soreness off and on..did a urine test and they said it has improved so just go and drink plenty fluid and flush it out..so it's now 3 weeks on and I still have the swollen lymphs and general unwell weak feeling...although I have scrutinised the area of my penis and noticed nothing unusual could this be a Herpes infection or maybe Hiv...thanks

Hiv takes about 4 weeks to show any signs. Plus your exposure doesnt indicate that. The fact the condom stayed on means it's pretty likely the source of the infection is not related to an sti. Blood test confirm the presents of white blood cells - the body defene with a viral or bacterial infections. You may have had a normal cold, infected tonsils, anything.

If it was an sti (common ones) depending the strength of the antibiotics, would have cleared up Chlamydia and gono and possiblity of syphilis before it took hold.  But again, the fact the condom stayed on wouldn't worry  me about stis.

Thanks for reply...yes I am as baffled as I wore a condom and there really shouldn't be anything to worry about...yes Hiv symptoms would come on much later but I am more concerned that it could be herpes as the symptoms (fluey, swollen lymphs) came on a few days later, although there has not been any kind of itch, rash or lesions the fact my body is fighting an infection for 3 weeks and counting now is worrying..I had mono a few year ago and it feels very similar
