I'm really worried, you have no idea

hi i'm 16 i just broke up with my partner. we did stuff, like kissed and oral sex. now after 2 months i got cold sores(5). and then i got some on and off. now i have none. but then after the shore i got a lesion or bump on my penis. i really don't think it was fluid filled. and now it is still here not going away. i'm wondering if i really do have herpes both types 1 and 2. but i don't know and can't tell. my mom still hasn't made an appointment and i'm getting worried i will spread it, if i do have it.  PLZ HELP.

Well, its not handed down like that, but you could easily have gotten it from a family member kissing you as a kid.

Yes, if you have had cold sores, you have hsv1.

I'm not sure what your question is then.  You didn't get herpes from this encounter - you already have hsv1, and you don't get hsv2 from oral sex.

Its also been there for awhile - not sure how long - and herpes sores will go away.

You need to see your doctor.  We can't diagnose you over the internet, and you have symptoms that caused you enough worry to post about it on the internet.  You just need to see your doctor.

If you don't want to see your regular doctor, find an std clinic or Planned Parenthood.

If you always had cold sores it is possible you had already been exposed 2 hsv-1 as a child which is very common.

You still need to be seen.  You have symptoms, and that by itself, makes it necessary to see a doctor.

If you only received oral sex then it's not likely to be hsv2.  You can have cold sores and also hsv1 genitally and it would take a lesion culture and typing of your genital symptoms to determine if you do have hsv1 genitally too.  Tell your mom monday that you are making an appointment, make one and then arrange for transportation with either a parent or a friend and go and be seen.  also be sure to mention the cold sores you've been having so they can decide if it's more likely to be hsv1 orally aka cold sores or perhaps even something else going on like impetigo or something.
