I'm concerned about potential exposure to STD's. One week ago, I had unprotected oral sex (both gave and received) with a woman I had met for the first time. We also had vaginal intercourse and a condom was used the entire time. I did not ejaculate during the oral or vaginal sex.
48 hours later, upon ejaculation from masturbating, I noticed an uncomfortable sensation in my penis, near the tip. A slight burning sensation has started, which comes and goes during the day. I've also experienced more frequent urination. This has persisted over the past 5 days.
I should also say that I had prostatitis that was treated with long term antibiotics (6 months), which I have been off for approximately 8-10 weeks. I was drinking alcohol the evening before my sexual encounter, and experienced frequent urination and urgency, and an inability to completely void my bladder, thus sending me back to the washroom repeatedly in the evening. This was a familiar experience from when the prostatitis was at its worst.
I'm curious whether my symptoms could be related to STD exposure from the encounter I had, or if this might in fact be a flare up of my prostatitis, which may have been triggered by my alcohol consumption. I notice some pain in my lower back, as well as my left inner thigh, all consistent with my previous experience of prostatitis.
I saw my doctor, and he has started me back on 750mg of Cipro twice per day, which I have taken now for 48 hours. Symptoms are still there.
Any insight and feedback would be welcomed as I'm concerned about STD exposure.
