Am I at high risk for contracting an STI?

Hello.  I am a gay male in my late 20s. I have only ever performed mutual masturbation and oral sex with other men.  Never have I engaged in anal sex.  Long story short, recently had a casual encounter with a stranger.  We spoke about STI status before engaging.  Person claimed to be STI free.  We performed mutual masturbation and oral sex on eachother.  We did not ejaculate in each other's mouths.  Our penises rubbed along side each others penises, bellys, scrotums, and between our butt checks.  After the encounter, we fondled eachother.  During this I discovered the person had what appeared to be warts (or possibly herpes) surrounding his anus.  I questioned him about it but was informed that he didn't THINK the area is an infection from an STI.  With all of the fondling and oral sex I engaged in, hypothetical speaking, if said person does indeed have an STI, how much am I at risk of contracting?

Would you call consider the risk of hpv high or low from the actions described above?  I'm aware of how contagious hpv is.  Is it more likely to be passed on during penetration than mutual masturbation/oral sex?  And even if the area infected was his anus, would he still be able to pass the strain on to me while we were performing fellatio on each other?  I seen no abrasions surrounding his mouth.

Sounds more like warts than hsv lesions. You were at a small risk of hsv1 from receptive oral sex. Hpv is always a risk and every sexually active person is most assuredly going to get atleast one strain of hsv.
Of course the risk from hsv1 is only if he had it and even if he did the risk is very small
