Is taking 1g Azithromycin too soon after already taking it 5 days earlier?
DortmunderG
I took 1g azithromycin to treat chlamydia, and my gf took it 24 hours later. 36 hours after she took it, we had unprotected sex (last night).
Can I take 1g more this morning to prevent a possible reinfection?

Urine test. I'm just clarifying whether my initial dose would still be working while my gf took hers 36 hours before.

I will say that it takes a few days to kill all the bacteria and its recommended to wait about 7 days before exposure again.
