Is taking 1g Azithromycin too soon after already taking it 5 days earlier?

I took 1g azithromycin to treat chlamydia, and my gf took it 24 hours later.  36 hours after she took it, we had unprotected sex (last night).

Can I take 1g more this morning to prevent a possible reinfection?

Hi we dont advise medication dosage here only risks and other std issues. best to check with your doctor about this.
How were you diagnosed with chlamydia?

Urine test. I'm just clarifying whether my initial dose would still be working while my gf took hers 36 hours before.
I will say that it takes a few days to kill all the bacteria and its recommended to wait about 7 days before exposure again.
