You can have chlamydia with no symptoms, though, not for 15 years as Vance said. Up to 75% of women with chlamydia do not show symptoms. This is why women in the US are routinely tested during their annual exams. Just thought you should know this. After a couple of years of untreated infections, the more serious complications start to show.
Though rare, it is possible to get false results. If your husband comes up negativ, then that is probably what happened in your case.
Hi
Thanks for advice will await husbands results, sure there has been a mistake as def no symptoms of this and neither have strayed!!!!
Dr's do not answer questions here you have to go to the expert community and pay to post a question to them.
But I am 100% positive that you can not have it for 15 years and not know it. The longest case has been 4 years, but normally after 12-18-24 minths you will have more complications.
Your husband needs to test.
I did not have chlmydia test while I was pregnant, they only do it if you request it (uk).
I have already taken medication. Recently spoke to clinic who said u can have it this long and not know. As said before my husband has not slept with anyone else since we have been together. Are u a professional? Can they get tripple swab result wrong?
You can not have it for 15 years and not know it. If you have not taken medication I would retest.
As for the kids...you are tested well before delivery so I would not worry about them at this point and I assume they are not babies so if they had gotten chlymida they would have signs by now. If husband tests positive or if you retest positive then someone has gone outside of the marriage and will not know when.
